PilatesAt JUMP Physio Manchester we offer Pilates to improve your flexibility, strength, posture, muscle tone and as a form of rehabilitation. Pilates exercises can be used in the dynamic treatment of back pain, to help prevent injury and to improve sporting performance. At JUMP Physio you can practice your Pilates in tailored one to one sessions or take part in one of our small group classes. At JUMP Physio we offer two distinct types of Pilates classes. Pilates Fitness: Pilates matwork exercises using gradually increasing levels of difficulty and resistance aimed at improving strength, flexibility, power and sporting performance. These classes are best suited for those wishing to improve general fitness, muscle tone and to help prevent injury. Pilates Rehab: Pilates matwork exercises aimed at improving strength, flexibility and posture. Research has shown that exercise programmes (such as Pilates) designed and developed to strengthen the stability muscles of the spine and pelvis can reduce back pain and help prevent its reoccurrence. These classes are suited for those people, with existing pain or those recovering from injury or surgery. We recommend that you attend a one on one session with the pilates instructor prior to joining a class. This ensures that you achieve maximum benefit from your pilates practice. Our pilates classes have a maximum of five participants per class ensuring you receive constant supervision and tailored instruction.
